Out of the mouths of babes...

This morning at 7:25am I was in the car with Kyra after an already hectic morning getting all kids, soccer paraphanalia, snacks, blankets, water bottles, sippy cups, etc. ready for a morning of 2 games and 2 team picture sessions. As I drove, I said out loud, "We are gonna be a little late, and we better not hit a train or we're going to be A LOT late." To which Kyra responded, "Well Mommy, even if we do hit a train at least we know that all things happen for our good and God's glory." Wow! I was humbled and blessed by that little reminder.

A shirtless summer for Myles

Some of you may have noticed that Myles is often shirtless in the pictures I post lately...that is because he is almost always shirtless! I think it started at the beginning of the summer, or maybe last spring. Anyway, at some point he decided he was a shorts only kinda guy. I fought this at first, and then decided I had bigger battles to win:). Who can blame him really, it has been over 100 degrees for months! He still complains when I tell him to put on a shirt for a trip to the grocery store, or gymnastics, or a friend's house. As soon as we enter the car to return home...the shirt is off again! On the upside, I've probably had slightly less laundry for the last 3 months!

Queen of the crib?!

Let the soccer season begin!!

We had a great morning attending the first soccer games of the season! Kyra and Myles are both #7 this year, Kyra on team "Lightning" and Myles on the "Tornados."

Kyra did a great job being agressive on the field, her team won and had a great time playing together! A perfect morning for playing soccer!

Myles has been counting down all week to his Saturday game! He was ready to go! He had a great time, scored several goals, and passed a lot to his team mates. He is so much fun to watch!

I love...

...that everyday when Myles and Hayley pretend together, he's always "boy" and she's always "Serefina." :)

Came around the corner to this...

The baby

Our baby is officially 1 1/2 and quickly turning into a sweet, funny, expressive little girl! She talks a lot, some of which we can understand:), still signs milk, please, more, all done and loves to play with her siblings. Each morning when I get her out of the crib I say, "Do you want to go see your friends?" Sophy nods her head and says, "Yeah!" and then takes off running down the hall to find everyone.

She still loves to snuggle Mama, which is fine with me!

Sophy is sometimes quite a ham, putting toys or books on her head and then letting them fall off and saying "uh-oh" in her silly voice. Dancing around in circles, or holding her nose and saying "poop!"
When the other kids are getting a treat Sophy yells, "too! too!"(as in me too, me too!)

When Sophy is looking for something, she wanders around the house saying, "Woo-hoo num-num, woo-hoo blankie, woo-hoo dada." And speaking of num-num(pacifier) and blankie, they are still her favorites! The num-num is suppossed to stay in the crib, but somehow she sneaks it out during the day!

Sophy LOVES books, especially ones with babies or animals. If you sit down and read with her, she will bring you book, after book, after book, after book...

She loves peek-a-boo, and also does this just to be silly:).

Sophy loves swimming and is quite a little fish, floating on her back when she needs a breath. When she feels it's time to go swimming she will go into the bathroom to the pile of swimsuits and start delivering each persons to them. This is actually pretty amazing because Kyra, Hayley, and I have tankinis and she always picks out the correct matching tops and bottoms for each person, as well as a swim diaper for herself. A genius, what can I say:).

We call her Sophinator, Soph-a-Doph, Sophy Dophy, and Bubbalooska. Don't ask where those names came from 'cause I have no idea:).

Love that toothy smile!!

Sophy loves her baby and loves to be a big girl right up beside her sister!

We love you Sophy! Please stop growing so fast!
