Funny Things are Everywhere!

Myles after making his own PB & J:  "Whew!  It sure is a good thing that I know how to make peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches because you know when I'm grown up and my wife is at the store or something my kids will probably want a snack.  So it's good that I know how to make one thing at least!"

Sophy comes in with a frustrated look on her face and arms folded over her chest:  "Myles mean!  Kyra mean!  It's rough day!"  Then pauses a second..."I need some beans!"(meaning jelly beans:))

Working on math, Myles is supposed to write a 9 in answer to a problem.  "What is that?"  Mommy says.  "That doesn't look like a 9!"  Myles answers, "It's a cursive 9?!?"

I sometimes call Myles a "stud muffin."  Sophy has caught on to this and now regularly encourages Myles with, "Good job, muffin!!"

Easter!

Had a fun Easter together celebrating Jesus who died for our sins and is alive, preparing a place for us someday!  How thankful we are!!
Also had an egg hunt, stuffed our faces with jelly beans, and were pretty much too full to eat much of the yummy dinner Mommy made!:)
 This girl melts me...

 Ready for church!
This may be the only picture this year in which Myles has a shirt on:)...pretty handsome
Can't believe how big this girl is getting!!  God is growing her beautifully inside and out!

Hayley G....full of life, full of fun, the jelly bean sneaker:).  Can't resist pictures of those sparking eyes!

Butterfly Release

We were learning about Leps in our Flying Creatures of the Fifth Day science curriculum and watched the process of metamorphosis up close!  We started with catapillars, watched them get plump:), watched their crysalis' form as they hung upside down, them watched them emerge different creatures a week later.  We kept the butterflies for about a week and it was so fun for the kids to see them up close and recognize all the anatomy we'd been learning about!  Daily we'd hear "Look!  That one is sticking it's proboscis into the orange!" or "I can totally see the scales on their wings!" or "There are the knobs on their antennae!"  "This one is stretching is forwings but not it's hindwings!".  We even had lots of opportunites to talk about how God makes us new creations when we become Christians.  So thankful that we emerge as different creatures too!

(Myles and Sophy were apart of the butterfly release too, but the butterflies didn't cooperate for pictures.)

A Family of Supers!

With Grandma's help and supplies from Mema I got a little crafty and finished 4 super hero capes in one weekend!!  I'm actually VERY proud of these capes:), since it's been years since I used a sewing machine!  The kids have had a blast with them, zooming around the house, cartwheeling, round-offing, spinning and we haven't even had too many collisions which is good!  So presenting...Super Girl, Super Boy, Super Hayles, and Super Baby!!
