Funny Happenings

The other day I could not keep from laughing as I overheard this conversation of Myles coaching Kyra on how to kill a bug that was in our kitchen...
M- "OK Kywa, here's the towel. You just gotta squish him fast and hard. You can do it."
K-(screaming)"He keeps getting away."
M- "Come on Kywa! Just do it fast! Like this(grunts, boy sound effects).
K- (jumping around the kitchen and screaming in high pitched voice) "He keeps moving!"
M- "Hit him hard Kywa, hit him hard!"
K- (finally connects and kills the bug..is now screaming louder because there's a dead bug at her feet:))
M- "Yeah, you did it Kywa. You got him!"
Needless to say, it's nice to have an expert bug smasher around the house:)

Hayley

Hayley has been our resident stinker lately. The problem is that she's just so darn cute! We hear lots of phrases like: "I obey, I not touch Mommy's pictures." "No My-My, it's bery breaaaakable."
Hayley loves to hold Sophy on the Boppy...you just have to watch her because when she's done, she's done and Sophy gets dumped! So far she's only landed on the couch...we're hoping to keep it that way!

Hayley's favorite snack spot is in her "house." Otherwise known as under the highchair:)!

Darts

Daddy, oops I mean Myles, got a new toy dart gun complete with suction cup darts. Daddy and Myles have had a blast target praticing on our sliding glass door. They have figured out that the darts stick better when a little bit wet. Sooo, Myles cracked me up yesterday when he shot several darts and then turned to me with a VERY serious face and said,

"Well, I shoulda wicked um."

Sophy is 1 Month Old!

Sophy is a little sweetie! Still pretty mellow except that she hates to have a dirty or wet diaper and demands it be changed right away!:) She has made it back up to her birth weight, so no more pesky doctors appointments each week...YAY! She's more alert now and shows us those big blue eyes several times a day. She has started to smile a little...especially when Mommy is talking to her(I'm positive it's not a coincidence:)!) She's even been sleeping a 5-6 hour stretch at night!!

First Week with Sophy!

Our family of 6!!! Sophy is 5 days old. (We were sitting in the living room last night and Myles started counting, then said, "Wow! We have 6 people in this house!" I guess he just figured this out!:) )

She seems like a very mellow girl, sleeps through all kinds of ruckus:), lets Kyra and Myles hold her in uncomfortable positions and smother her with kisses. We all love her!

Kyra has been the best helper!! Getting diapers and wipes, hunting down pacifiers, holding Sophy, helping me fold laundry. We are blessed with such a sweet girl.

Myles loves to hold Sophy and would carry her all over the house if I would let him!!

He says, "Sophy is just sooo cute!"
