Names
"My name's Hayley Grace Floyd, but my whole name is Hayley buggers, and my nick name is Hayley G and Hayley G funk.":)
Harry, Scary, and Larry
I gave each of the kids their own mini pumpkin and let them decorate it however they wanted. Myles, of course, named them. His is Harry on the far left.
That night when putting Myles to bed, he took Harry into his room and put him on the dresser.
He announced, "Harry is going to watch over me tonight."
I said, "Myles, Harry isn't going to watch over you, God is!"
Myles with an exasperated look and tone says, "Well then, what's Harry gonna do???"
Good question:)
Good question:)
Pickiness
So, as many of you know, to say that Myles is picky would be the understatement of the century. Although he is required to eat bites of whatever I make for dinner(he anxiously starts asking what we are having for dinner about 3:00pm) his likes are on a short list. Myles likes fruit, yogurt, dry cereal, oatmeal, pancakes, pb & j-no "peels", unmelted cheese, crackers, and (only) chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. These are the ONLY things he likes- no meat, no veggies, no pasta, no rice, no grilled cheese, no tuna, no chicken nuggets....you got the idea. Soooo, this scene was especially funny.
Mommy: "We need to clean up a little bit because Bethany and Rachael are coming over for dinner while their parents go on a date."
Myles: "Yeah, speaking 'bout Bethany and Rachael coming for dinner...what are we having for dinner?"
Mommy: "We're having pizza, but I'll let you have peanutbutter and jelly tonight."
Myles: (at the top of his lungs) OH, PRAISE GOD!!

Daddy's Marathon
At 5:00am, sitting in the dark car, waiting to drive up Mt. Lemmon, Kyra lost another tooth! It must have been really loose because she was only eating a muffin:).
Waiting for Daddy to run up the mountain...
Waiting for Daddy to run up the mountain...
A chilly morning!! I didn't want to wake up all 4 kids at 3:45am, so Mema stayed with the 3 younger and Kyra and I had fun cheering.
A Good Reminder
Been needing this reminder as we plunge into another fun, busy week...
from www.girltalkhome.com:
So what does it look like to glorify God in the midst of a busy season?
The first must-have to survive—and even thrive—during busy seasons: humility.
I still remember the wise and helpful counsel my husband CJ shared with me many years ago when I was having one of those “I just can’t get it all done" breakdown crying sessions. When he finally got the chance to speak, he said: “Carolyn, only God completes His to-do list. We are not God. We are finite creatures with serious limitations. Therefore we need to humble ourselves by accepting our limitations and draw upon God’s strength to simply do what we can.” CJ’s advice not only helped me then, but continues to benefit me to this day.

Mt. Lemmon
Scott is running the Mt. Lemmon Marathon in 2 weeks...that's right, 26.2 miles all up hill! So we've taken 2 trips up the mountain so he can run on part of the course. The leaving the house at 5:30am was brutal, but the cool air was nice and the kids had so much fun exploring while we waited for Scott. Then we all went to the Cookie Cabin for cookies the size of a plate(we shared:)).
New Tricks-7 months
Sophy has lots of people that love her...
Mommy,
Daddy,
Daddy,
Kyra,
Hayley,
and Myles.
I guess that's why every time we set her down she does this:).
She can sit up by herself now!
She can clap her hands and blocks together!
