Our Hayley Grace is 4!

Our sweet, funny, full of life precious Hayley turned 4 today!! The day was dedicated to her and she got to choose EVERYTHING! (she was sure to tell that to all her siblings several times:))

Soooooo, after waking up to balloons and presents, we started with a trip to the Donut Wheel, then played at the park, then lunch and rest time(she didn't choose that), then to Toys R Us for her crown, balloon, and toy. Next we headed to Bookmans to spend her $10 birthday certificate(don't you just love getting free stuff for birthdays!) and then to Peter Piper for pizza, games, and carousel rides. After that it was home for "rainbow cake" and ice cream. A fun day with our favorite 4 year old girl!

Snitchin' coupons

I've clipped alot of coupons in the last several months and 3 yr old Hayley always wants in on the action. Only she calls it "snitchin' coupons." As soon as I sit down with my scissors, she's right beside me with hers saying things like, "Mommy, can I help you snitch coupons? Really I'm a great snitcher! I'm going to be a great mommy some day 'cause I love snitchin' coupons!"
I try to keep a straight face and give her some "very important" coupons to snitch. Actually I give her store ads or pages of expired coupons because, well, let's just say that the coupons she snitches are not always useable:). She concentrates very hard and I love how much she desires to help me.

Actually, all this snitchin' has improved her cutting a lot. Maybe she'll get some real coupons to snitch in the near future!:)

Funny things heard around our house...

Myles: "Mommy, will you and Daddy be dead when I get my driver's license?" (Iknow we're old, but really!?)

Hayley: "I got my green eyes from Daddy, Jack and Mrs. Lambros." (interesting, considering only 1 of those people is related to her:))

Eating dinner outside: Myles-"Sophy is like the Grinch! She just stole some of my chicken. Except she doesn't have spiders in her soul!"

Hayley G. turns 3!

Can't believe it's been 3 years since we prayed and prayed for Hayley's health and birth. She's our sweet, full of life, mischievious, beautiful, smart girl and what could make New Year's Eve more fun than to celebrate her birthday!!

Since we weren't going to have enough sugar the rest of the day(hahaha), we started by taking the kids out for doughnuts!

Names

Lately, if you ask Hayley what her name is she will say:

"My name's Hayley Grace Floyd, but my whole name is Hayley buggers, and my nick name is Hayley G and Hayley G funk.":)

Everything ...sito

Most of you know that Scott only speaks Spanish to the kids. It is amazing that they understand everything he says and respond correctly. Hayley has been speaking her own version of spanglish lately...

skittles are "skittlesitos"

markers are "markersitos"

her tennis shoes which she calls cougars(Scott's cross country team is the cougars) are "cougarsitos"

She also uses a spanish filler word "pero" which means but. All day long she says stuff like:

"I need to go potty, pero I can't get my pants off."

"I want to play, pero Myles is being mean."

"Sophy wants a popsicle, pero she's just a baby."

It is hilarious to listen to!

Hayley Update...

For those who are wondering(probably only grandparents:))...Hayley is doing great at taking care of business in the bathroom!! She has had very few accidents in the last couple weeks (except when she pooped all over my arm at the dentist, while the baby was crying and Myles had the flu...but, we'll save that story for another time:)). I think the stickers and M & M's have been very motivating:)! We have been out and about a lot, and she's getting better and better! Yay!!

Hayley has been our resident stinker lately. The problem is that she's just so darn cute! We hear lots of phrases like: "I obey, I not touch Mommy's pictures." "No My-My, it's bery breaaaakable."
Hayley loves to hold Sophy on the Boppy...you just have to watch her because when she's done, she's done and Sophy gets dumped! So far she's only landed on the couch...we're hoping to keep it that way!

Hayley's favorite snack spot is in her "house." Otherwise known as under the highchair:)!
