Look who's stealing Kyra's new beanbag!!

(these were not posed:))

Wrappin' it up!

In a few days we'll be done with 1st grade and pre-K...moving on to 2nd grade and Kindergarten(yikes:))! It hardly seems possible that we've completed 2 years of homeschooling. Like others have said so well, we know that homeschooling is not right for everyone, but we want to be faithful to what God is calling our family to, for this season. We are far, far from perfection but want to continue to grow in faithfulness to the God who is always faithful!

In looking back through some pics from the year, we've experienced lots of God's grace, some difficult days, lots of wonderful days, attitudes good and bad. We've learned lots academically from the history of ancient peoples to habitats around the world. From outer space to spelling and multiplication. We've written stories and book reviews, poems and dialogues. Myles has learned to read and is picking up new words everyday. Hayley knows her letter sounds and is practicing the letters of her name. But more than any of this, we have lived life together, sinned together, prayed together, memorized scripture together. I have prayed for their hearts and they have prayed for Mommy's heart. All this I would not trade for anything!!

Our little gymers!

Kyra and Myles after their gymnastics recital on the big stage!

They did a great job whippin' out cartwheels, round-offs, and forward rolls like nobodies business:). Their class was so cute!

K and M with some gym/church friends.

Before the big show..Kand M with part of their class.

Silliness:)

Kyra in her 2011 gym costume(notice those new earrings:))

Myles in his 2011 gym costume-his first time in a recital on the big stage!

Our gymers who passed me up in gymnastic ability a long time ago!

The recital was so much fun! Half the performances were gym and half dance of different types. Kyra and Myles go to a Christian non-competitive gym where the teachers are awesome. All the music from the recital was christian music of different types- from point ballet to hip-hop!

Coupons

I've never really done the coupon thing, but last December my sister told me about CouponSense and I decided to try it. I'm still not that great at it, but check out what I got last week for free!! Actually they paid me $.71!! The 20yr old checker guy was just a little surprised:).

A lick and a click!

Sophy loves to give kisses...to brother, sisters, Mommy, Daddy, grandparents, baby dolls, stuffed animals...you get the idea:). Everytime she kisses you, she gives you a little lick and then clicks her tongue. We call it a "lick and a click!"

Kyra is 7!!

On Mother's Day Kyra turned 7!! She was born on a Saturday night before my first Mother's Day and she has been such a blessing to our lives!

Blowing out the candles at our family party with Mema and Grandma and Papa.

Not only did the pinata have candy, but turned into party hats for everyone:)

Kyra is such a great big sister! This is the first time we've had a child old enough to really help with the baby and it's so fun!

Whackin' the pinata!

We took a family trip to the bowling alley with Papa and Grandma and the kids had a blast- mommy won the game:)

The kids watching Daddy bowl

Orange was the color of the day! Even Hayley did great(with ramp and bumpers)!

We had some friends over earlier in the week for bottlecap necklace making, cake, icecream and a magic show by Kyra(thanks to Papa Bob and Auntie Robin for the magic trick kit)!

Long time firends Mary and Naomi were born the same week as Kyra. This year they all got their ears pierced for their birthdays!

It wouldn't be a party without these silly boys!!

Kyra was blessed with friends and a fun day!

She she is in her 7 year old glory! Can't wait to see what God has in store for her this next year! We love you Kyra!
